Holy shit, M.I.A is back with a crazy new sound and her first single just hit the internets! It’s epic, and the video is UNREAL, like in the sense that I’m still shaken and may not be able to sleep tonight. It’s intense, scary, obscene, grotesque, and disturbing–but it’s also soul-stirring at the same time. If you’ve seen Battle Royale, you may get a sense of what I’m talking about.
WARNING: This video is very graphic and disturbing. It’s NOT for everyone and it’s definitely not suitable for work.
Hello friends, it’s the weekend! I’ve returned home to SF and have some city exploring and a date night ahead. Tomorrow night we are going to see a music and video mixing show. Who would have thought that this idea of video mixing would have such deeps roots…looks like this pic dates back to the 60′s.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead of you.

Phoenix + PS22 Chorus…I think I my head might explode. Both of these things make me so happy.
If the song sounds familiar, or if you’d like to hear the original, check out the second track on the Stranger in the Tub mix I posted a few weeks ago.
This is the latest viral video sensation, and I’m a bit late on the uptake, but I just had to post it to share with anyone that may have missed it. I’ve always been taken with Rube Goldberg machines, so I was excited to see this. Another great one is the Honda commercial from 2003 that took 607 takes to get right.

Start your week with this wonderful video.
Jarbas Agnelli composed a score based on a photo of birds sitting on a wire.

Don’t ask where he gets his titles from…
This week’s mix is a progressive collection of nu disco/alternative/dance. I love the way it starts and ends on a mellow note, but be warned that everything in between will have you wishing it was Saturday night. (And yes, I am biased.)
Enjoy!
Note: If you’re listening at work you may want to use your headphones as these songs are not edited.
Track list:
A new quick-mix from my sweetie. Listen while unwinding after work over a glass of wine or preparing dinner. Or, better yet, when was the last time you had music playing softly while you had dinner? Our background default used to be the TV, but lately some of my favorite meals have had a soundtrack to them.
Enjoy!
