Can you see the hidden word in this picture? It took me a while, and to be honest it’s not as exciting as the picture itself, but figured you might want to waste a few minutes of your day.

I used to pride myself on an unread-e-mail-free-Inbox, but I’ve given up lately. There’s just too much crap to sift through and it’s become easier to just let it go. There is, however, one mail that I look forward to receiving every day and that would be Dave Pell’s daily news round-up NextDraft: a perfectly curated newsletter featuring the ten best items the Net has to offer (along with a kick-ass dose of wit and humor). I can only imagine what he has to sift through to get each beautifully, shiny draft and that is why I love him. Thank you Dave, for doing all of the hard work for me, and for making me appear smarter and more with it than I actually am.

I just figured out my old Toast Stereogram post was mentioned on Anthropologie’s Tumblr feed, etymologie. That’ll teach me to stay away for so long.
So excited. Thank you!
PS- I should also mention that the original source for the image is the wonderful Mighty Optical Illusions.

Obol – The Original Crispy Bowl. Ridiculous, and yet so awesome. I truly could have used this back in my Oreo days. (BPA-free too.)
Available here.

Oh my gosh this is so cool! Someone please put this to music. I don’t know, would that even work? I’m just assuming there’s some great musical patterns hidden in there somewhere.
Read more about the science behind this here.

Track your days over the course of a year by drawing in an emoticon: very good, good, regular, bad, very bad. Simple and cool. Would be great to see how things looked after a year, and you can start anytime. Get it from Etsy seller BrigadaCreativa. ($13.50)
Cool! See what autocompletes when you type each state into a Google search box. I’d be curious to see how this changes outside of football season…or would it? Ugh.
