While perusing Bama to Brooklyn this morning I came across this story that made me laugh out loud.

I’ve loved Betty White ever since she played scandalous, Happy Homemaker Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.  And if you’ve ever had a chance to catch any of her game show appearances you know that out of character she is still just plain hilarious.  Even now at 88 years young she’s still as feisty and funny as ever (she was even a guest on Family Guy for goodnessake!).

Sadly, a few weeks ago her longtime friend and former Golden Girls castmate Rue McClanahan suffered a minor stroke. Making the most of the sad situation Betty sent her a bouquet of flowers with a card that read:

“I hope you die, so I can be the last Golden Girl!”

Shouldn’t all get well cards be so funny and witty? Rue reportedly loved it and said to be doing well in physical therapy. Continuing to send positive thoughts her way. Get well Rue!
