It looks as though clogs, in all shapes and colors, will be making a big appearance for spring/summer.
I remember I had a cute platform sandal-y pair from J.Crew when I was a freshman in high school (1998!), but that was way before Born and Crocs were in existence. I must admit I was curious to see the high-heel black mule in the Chanel show last fall but didn’t have the foresight to spot it as a potential trend. How could I have missed this?! If there was anyone who could bring the clog back from beyond the grave (complete with a history of mall-kiosks), it would be Papa Lagerfeld.
Several other fashion houses also featured clogs in their collections, so with Louis Vuitton and Celine also leading the way I’m sure we can start trendspotting now. (At first I thought I liked the Louis Vuittons, but then I got an image of a Teva sandal in my head, and that just won’t do–I draw the line at Crocs.)
Are you ready to accept the clog again?
