Baggu Leather Spring Collection

I’ve written about my love affair with my Baggu bags in the past, so with the introduction of leather bags a while back, and now this new Spring color line, I realize it may be time to update my collection. The naturally milled leather looks super-soft, no?

I guess I should admit that I’m pretty hard on my nylon bags so I’d have to think about the best way to use the medium leather bag in a slightly different capacity; I’m not sure it’d do so well with the way I navigate the farmer’s market. Perhaps I’ll start with a small pouch and give it a go. Check out their full collection here.

Leather bag S  $120, Leather bag M  $160, Pouch S  $20, Pouch M  $40

These are a few…

I just love being back! As usual, here’s a mini collection of a few faves that I’ve collected over the past few weeks. It’s always so exciting for me to see how even a collection of colorful farm eggs can make a day better. Whatever your little collections of happiness may be, I hope you all have a lovely, happy weekend ahead.

Organic farm eggs. My favorites are the pistachio hues, which coincidentally also have the brightest yolks.

Patrick Hruby’s Memory Game. Seriously a must-have for every game chest: so pretty and quite the brain exercise. Get it here $15.

A vintage Reed & Barton bowl. A new home for my keys from my favorite Etsy shop.

Giant bubbles. So relaxing.

Sylvain and his team (based in France) get to create these beautiful bubbles everyday for their work called Ebullitions. Bravo!

Chloé Fall RTW 2012

The standing ovation at Yves St. Laurent, along with the news of the departure of Stefano Pilati, followed by today’s outstanding showings from Chanel and Alexander McQueen have all made for another wondrous Paris Fashion Week; but for me my favorite collection came from Chloé.

Understated and sporty, yet elegant and feminine with a palate of pastels that move from sweet spring into more natural hues for the fall, and some gorgeous bursts of crimson red. I’m taken with the oversized jackets and sweaters paired with perfectly tailored pants and skirts, but then there’s also the ease of the flowing skirts (and those crimson red trousers!) that also have my attention.

While many of my other favorite designers went with more severe and intense looks, it was refreshing to see this truly lovely fall offering from Chloé.

I just figured out my old Toast Stereogram post was mentioned on Anthropologie’s Tumblr feed, etymologie. That’ll teach me to stay away for so long.

So excited. Thank you!

Little style, giving back

Sweet little guy. I came across this photo a few weeks ago and was instantly taken with his whole aura; the smile, the style, his tiny little fingers. After a bit of digging I traced him back to a non-profit site called Planeterra. Among their many projects he is the face of one that sponsors surgical centers in remote areas of Tibet (which has one of the highest rates of blindness in the world). I admit I felt a little guilty for admiring his fashion sense: organic, authentic, and real, but I was ultimately happy to have stumbled on such a great site.
