A little late today, but here nonetheless. This week was spent recovering from a hectic summer, and ultimately attempting to get centered again. Last Saturday we had the Thai monks come down to the restaurant for a small ceremony, which we try to do a few times a year. I always feel rejuvenated and balanced after a morning with them, but usually it’s just the start to a long journey of meditation and reflection. And so it began…but I did manage to also feed my soul by eating quite well. And I also ran into some wonderful friends at the Melrose Steet Fair last Sunday! A good start I’d say.
Hoping you have a wonderful long weekend ahead. Kiss!
Chocolate whiskey cake from Columbia City Bakery. No need for any utensils when you can shove it right in as you walk the farmer’s market. I even managed to share a few (and by that I mean two) bites with my sweetie.
A visit from the monks. Positive vibes, getting back to “center”, sharing a special meal with family and friends.
Date night with Meem at Sitka & Spruce. Mom’s are great for feeding the soul, and with my guy away I needed extra love…and three glasses of sparkling wine. It was the perfect night out. (This was the spiced lamb. It was awesome.)
